Day 1: BRISBANE. 2 Hour Drive - Head north past the spectacular Glass House Mountains to the Sunshine Coast. The coastline from Caloundra to Noosa Heads has beautiful surf beaches. The most popular locations to stay are Mooloolaba or further to the north Noosa Heads. Overnight on the Sunshine Coast.
Day 2: SUNSHINE COAST. 3 Hour Drive - Continue exploring the Sunshine Coast this morning, then early afternoon drive north to Hervey Bay. Hervey Bay is the stepping off point to get to Fraser Island the largest Sand Island in the world. Between August to October Humpback Whales, can be seen up close in Hervey Bay. Our suggestion is to spend 2 nights on Fraser Island exploring this World Heritage Listed area.
Day 5: SUNSHINE COAST to ROCKHAMPTON. 4 Hour Drive - Leave early in the morning and drive to Bundaberg, which is the home to Queensland's famous Bundaberg Rum. Guests can explore the Bundaberg Rum Distillery. After lunch drive north to Rockhampton. Overnight in Rockhampton.
Day 6: ROCKHAMPTON to MACKAY. 4.5 Hour Drive - Leave early in the morning and follow Bruce Highway, then turn right and drive to Yeppoon, follow the coastline to Emu Park. After lunch return to the Bruce Highway and continue north. Pass by Sarina and into Mackay. Overnight in Mackay.
Day 7: MACKAY to AIRLIE BEACH. 2 Hour Drive - Have a sleep in, then take the leisurely 2 hour drive to Airlie Beach. Arrive in Airlie Beach around lunchtime and check-in for a 3 night Whitsunday Adventure.
Start your cruise this afternoon and be amazed as you depart Airlie Beach and are greeted by mountainous islands arising out of the clear blue waters. These islands are fringed by coral reefs which meet the islands at the low tide mark. Numerous secluded bays allow for the yachts to anchor in calm waters. Beautiful untouched beaches such as Whitehaven Beach, make this an unforgettable part of a Queensland tour.
Day 11: AIRLIE BEACH to TOWNSVILLE. 3 Hour Drive - Drive north and you will travel through Bowen, famous for Mango's and also many of the buildings have large Murals depicting Queensland Lifestyles. Head north to Townsville. The suggestion is to arrive mid afternoon in time to take the ferry across to nearby Magnetic Island. Magnetic Island is a relatively small island, and most people hire a mini moke to make their own way around the island. Overnight on Magnetic Island.
Day 13: TOWNSVILLE to CAIRNS. 4.5 Hour Drive - The area from Townsville to Cairns is known as the Green Way with Lush Rainforests. On the way, visit Mission Beach. Overnight in Cairns
Day 14: CAIRNS From Cairns. Day Trip - head to the Atherton Tablelands and Kuranda Rainforest, with amazing scenic viewing wonderful small villages and visit one of the Coffee Plantations and taste the vast array of coffee's and blends.
